The Realm Online is a family-friendly environment which has been rated E - Everyone by the E.S.R.B. As such it is the obligation of both Norseman Games and The Realm community to maintain conditions suitable for players of age 6 and older. This applies to all forms of communication in any Norseman facility including, but not limited to, "The Realm Online" and "The Realm Online Message Boards".These guidelines apply to character names, titles, and biographies:
Profane, rude, racial slurs, common swear words, racial names and anatomical references are not permitted.
Combinations of words that produce an offensive message.
Names, titles, and/or biographies which have the intent or effect of harming the reputation of, or used to impersonate, another customer or any member of the Norseman staff.
Impersonation of any member of the Norseman staff is an explicit violation of the Customer Code of Conduct.
Norseman Games, at our sole discretion, will determine the appropriateness of all character names. We do not monitor character names upon creation. It is therefore possible for an individual to create and, for a time, use a character with an inappropriate name. Time-of-use is no protection against a character name being deemed inappropriate and all names so deemed must be changed, at the subscriber's expense, or the character deleted, upon the request by any Norseman representative.
Remember, the existence of the profanity filter (/filter) is not a license to be profane.
“The Realm Online” has been rated E for Everyone (comic mischief, violence) by the Entertainment Software Rating Board.
Game Experience May Change During Online Play. Note that although “The Realm” is suitable for players of all ages, interaction with other users may produce conditions outside the intent and control of either the ESRB or Norseman Games.
