🧪 64-Bit Client Now in Release Candidate – Testers Wanted! ⚙️
The 64-bit client is now available in the launcher's RC (Release Candidate) tab, and we'd love your help putting it through its paces before it goes live for everyone.
🖥️ What's new
• 64-bit engine. A full 64-bit build of the client. It should be rock solid, and it brings fixes along with it, including handle leaks that have been around since the dawn of The Realm.
• NativeSkins dialogs. Every ActiveSkins dialog has been replaced with a new native dialog system built on the new RmlUI framework. You shouldn't be able to tell the difference: it should look and work exactly like before, just a little cleaner under the hood. This also clears the way to retire the old ActiveSkins completely and, down the road, to resize and stretch these windows.
🔧 How to test
1. Open the launcher, switch to the RC (Release Candidate) tab, and log in from there.
2. In Client Options → Beta / Experimental, make sure New Dialog UI is turned OFF for this test.
3. GPU Composite Rendering (OpenGL) is optional. Use it if you like.
4. Play normally and open every window you can: inventory, shops, spellbooks, trainers, quests, character sheets, the lot.
🐛 What we're looking for
• Any dialog that looks or behaves differently from the live client
• Windows that fail to open, close, or respond
• Crashes, freezes, or anything odd in the 64-bit engine
