Expansion Spotlighted Items:

New Content:

  • 5 New Zones

  • 4 New Dungeons

  • 1 New City

  • New Mobs, Art, Storylines, and of course, PHAT LOOT

Skills & Spells:

  • Skill Costing: Skill costing is now static and no longer based on your attributes. So ASGW can learn magic the same as AIEW?? Yeah, but they still suck at it.

  • Free Respec: Upon logging in your skills will be reset and your build points refunded. Starting skills have also been shuffled around a bit to balance out the classes.

  • Bauble of Respec: Available for sale from most skill book vendors.

  • Build Points: From level 100-200 you will gain 10 build points (and a new baldric) every 25 levels. Spend them wisely!

  • Level 6 Supreme Master Skills:

  • Yes, level 6 magic skills come with level 6 spells. Some are vendor sold, some are found. Good luck!

  • Touch Spells: Touch spell speeds have been increased, meaning these spells will fire earlier in combat. A buff for anyone that uses these spells, but specifically intended to allow additional counter attacks for hybrid characters after a touch spell in combat.

  • Shift Spell: Mana cost reduced and you'll now receive a combat log message when the spell has faded.

  • Summon Tier 3 Bug Fix: Bug causing those that did reach the required thresholds not to get the next tier of summons.

    • Previous Summon Changes from 2/18/2024

      • Summon Undead, Night Friends & Shadow Warrior all now have 4 possible tiers of mobs they will summon. The requirements to hit those tiers are as follows:

      • Tier 1: Just need to know the spell.

      • Tier 2: Requires at least +10 Necromancy SDM (from gear)

      • Tier 3: Requires at least +30 Necro SDM and meeting two out of three thresholds: 11 Intelligence, 11 Strength, or 11 Endurance

      • Tier 4: Tier 4: Requires at least +60 Necro SDM and meeting two out of three thresholds: 15 Intelligence, 15 Strength, or 15 Endurance.

  • Spell Nerfs: We intended these quite a while ago when we buffed several spells but held off until respec was available.

  • Gust of Wind, Sandstorm: Damage reduction.

  • Earthquake: Damage reduction, proc changed from stun to fumble.

Core Game (1-100) Changes:

  • Repopulation/Balance of 1-100 Zones

  • Several zones have been repopulated to at least some degree, with Leinster/Kurz Road having the most changes. Goodbye Gilmonks and Hello Classic Imps!

  • Faery Caverns has been completely redesigned and is now Faewood Hollow.

  • Reset buttons added to the end of all dungeons.

  • Reduced prices on potions, bananas, skill books, and spell books.

  • Several magic items buffed.

Mabon’s Marks:

Mabon's Marks are the newest craze when it comes to collecting those truly unique decorations and cosmetics.  Marks can be collected in numerous ways:

  • Attending events

  • The Event Oasis (Located two south & three left from the East Leinster Teleporter.)

  • The Pit of Anguish, the upcoming challenge dungeon!

You can find the Mabon’s Mark vendor at the entrance to The Pit of Anguish, located right from the Kurz teleporter.

Miscellaneous:

  • Item Text Color Shuffle:  Many of your items likely changed text color. Text color is no longer based on level but on rarity.

  • Significant Decrease in Bad Puns: But not an elimination.

  • NPC "Talk Trees" Revised: Some are helpful, some are just color content.

Mana Crystals are making a comeback in our upcoming expansion!

On DG, Mana Crystals essentially provide players infinite mana for spell casting. This didn't align with our vision for mana as a finite, strategic resource, so, we shifted to a mana pool system. Buuuttt maybe we missed them, so, we're reintroducing Mana Crystals with a new role.

What Are Mana Crystals Used For?  Mana Crystals are essential for crafting. Each recipe requires a certain number of crystals. We’re also updating the Enchant and Perm spells to require 20 and 10 Mana Crystals respectively (while significantly lowering their mana pool costs). This change ensures that while enchanting remains valuable, it doesn’t require a full wardrobe change to do so.

How do I Get Mana Crystals?  You can obtain Mana Crystals by harvesting old or unwanted gear with a Wand of Extraction (sold by vendor). The higher the rarity of the item, the more crystals you'll receive. And they're also tradeable between players.

What about my enchanter?! The reduction in mana cost of enchant and perm doesn't change the success rate. In order to 6x an item, you'll still need 189% SDM.

With these changes, Mana Crystals are set to be an important part of crafting and enchanting. Collect and trade them wisely!
