Naktos is brimming with fury at the Faeries' resilience in the Havenwoods.

He has channeled dark magic into select items carried by his minions.

These enchanted items are the key to overcoming Starlight and the Fae within the Faery Caverns.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed: players going beyond level 100

  • Fixed: wrong color specified for mythril based helmets

  • Fixed: invalid spellbook ids for improved invisibility, flame orb and death touch

  • Fixed: text color on various items

  • Fixed: hidden mobs in Naktos' Morgue

Balance Updates

  • Mastery points now gain faster in combat for spells

  • Strength based weapons damage increased

  • Short sword damage increased

  • Damage mitigation increased for leather, chain and plate

  • Several new resistance items added to loot table

  • Several new weapons added to loot table

  • Mana regeneration reduced while in combat

  • Mana regeneration increased while out of combat

  • Reduced experience gain from enchant and permanency

  • Repair cost increased

  • Forgotten Dungeon tweaks

  • Amulet of Death Magic Protection - reduced necromancy spell resist from 50% to 20%

  • Amulet of Free Will - reduced mysticism spell resist from 50% to 20%

 
 

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed: using consumables could crash server in certain cases

  • Fixed: zone event could crash server when attempting to add rewards to player's inventory

  • Fixed: giving items could crash server in certain cases

  • Fixed: MDM modifier being applied to players and NPCs twice

  • Fixed: critical strike not accumulating mastery points

  • Fixed: various item descriptions​

Balance Updates

  • All rooms in dungeons require NPCs to be cleared before progression is allowed

  • NPCs will now only jump you if they're 15 levels above your level

  • NPCs will no long jump you if they're in a dungeon

  • Thief NPCs have reduce chance to have a throwing dagger

  • 25% base damage increase applied to Flame Orb, Ice Orb, Psychic Orb, Acid Sphere and Light Dart

  • 15% base increase to healing spells (heal / greater-heal)

  • 25% base duration increase applied to Empower, Nimbility, Missle Resistance, Immolation, Poison Shield, Fire Shield, Lightning Shield, Cold Shield and Acid Shield

  • Increased base chance for armor to be struck and damage mitigated

 
 

Hello Realmers!  Thanks so much for participating in the launch of Mabons Gamble yesterday!  We've seen a lot of great interactions and received a lot of positive feedback.  We want to let you know that we're actively working on enhancements based for the things that feel bad, or just plain wrong. You should expect an update... SoonTM.  

Items we're working on RIGHT NOW!  

  • The beginning wizard experience.  We're working on a few things dynamically here; mana regen, spell mana costs and spell damage.  By tweaking all of these we hope we can make those first few levels a little more interactive.  

  • NPC Thieves:  NPC thieves will receive a damage nerf and a reduced chance to have a throwing dagger.   

  • Getting Jumped:  We had a fix for this pre-launch but it was only giving grace from mobs that already jumped you.  We'll be implementing another fix to help resolve the chain jumping good and neutral alignment players are experiencing.  

  • Server Stability:  We've already identified and fixed a few causes for crashes yesterday and will continue to do so if anymore arise.  

  • Experience Bar, NPC Directions, Helmet Colors:  We've identified all these bugs and will be fixing.
